Living and Dreaming are Perpendicular

There is a strange urge in my mind

I would like to stop behaving as a rat pressing levers

even if I have to go hungry for a while

I would like to step outside the

conditioning maze

and see what makes it tick

vertical planes.

i remember when the apartment was much smaller

before it contained anything except its vacated other past

this is a version of the universe 

floor and walls

no doors but one

how many times have i said that it has no doors

but spaces for emerging

rectangles

one of the universes is upright

one of them flat on the floor

living and dreaming are perpendicular 

and at their point of intersection

i do something i haven’t thought of

i walk into your arms
